Jubilations

Forget Her Maj – gawd bless ‘er – celebrating her platinum jubilee: if I’m seemingly incommunicado this weekend it’s because the better half and I will be marking our golden wedding anniversary with some of our extended family, and will thus be otherwise engaged … but I shall be back in due course!

    1. Thanks so much, Paula – though it wasn’t a week, just a long weekend, and we had the most perfect day on Saturday: sunny on the beach at Three Cliffs Bay on the Gower, picnics, sand-surfing on the dunes, swimming, kite-flying, sandcastles, maze-running, and rebinding with our adults offspring and seven grandchildren from 5 to 19…

    1. We did indeed, Annabel, the extended family did us proud, twelve of us with nary a tear – except of tiredness – and the most perfect weather by the sea before threatened thunderstorms after we’d set off home! 😊

    1. Thank you, Anne, we did enjoy it very much: we went glamping at Three Cliffs Bay on the Gower where we’d spent many happy holidays with our kids camping in the 70s and 80s – so much has both changed but also remained the same since then!

    1. Thanks, Karen. 🙂 As we got married a year and a day after we first spoke – on the phone when she first enquired about a part-time job at the library I was then seconded to – we at least celebrated 50 years of still speaking, even though it was as you say à deux!
